The year, since the last APCM, has been spent in expressing and building the Vision for 2012.
At the APCM last year we got a general endorsement about the vision. We have laboured on the detail to establish a document. We can now issue the document that has been agreed by the PCC. It is now published as an expression of what we have agreed. We have made some progress on issues. The Vicar and Churchwardens first of all put their minds to expressing the heart of a vision; this began as 'The Church at the heart of the Village'. Joined to this vision was a mission statement which spoke of the work that might be put in the next six years including: mission, teaching, worship, unity and social action. This early mission statement was then discussed at the Finance and Standing Committee and was further defined in terms of the biblical texts, rationale and implications which would take us through to the year 2012.

The Network Committee has greatly improved our communications, we are grateful to Lilly Nicholson for this. The development of Coffee Corner has extended the Sunday welcome of St Andrew's to the rest of the week.
In this year, Valerie has been ordained Priest and has become very much a member of the ministry team, bringing gifts of preaching, leading worship and music to the worshipping life of
Another person joining us is Mary-Beth Hawrish, who has been called by God to ministry at St Andrew's and is, at the moment, on a three-year training course with the Guildford Diocesan Ministry Course. Many other people have been involved in leading worship, including: Val Beynon and the choir and our three organists; Mo Carruthers; Rebecca Mayhew; Jill Mengham.
Phillip our Reader has led with great expertise our All-age worship service. He has been a Reader at this Church for over thirty years, and St Andrew's owe him a great debt of gratitude.
Ron Stewart has also been a keen enabler of the service at the Royal Kent, and together with Jackie has led a very successful marriage enrichment course.
Barbara Begley has been responsible for support of baptism couples, Leigh Hopper, Biddy Lewis, Mary Hilborne and their team have lovingly cherished those who have been bereaved. Others, Arthur Torr and Rebecca Mayhew, have been involved in the counselling of those young people presenting for marriage.
Paul Otter our Youthworker joined us in October. Already he has established a youth service on the third Sunday in the evening. This is a subject for your prayers as we further develop our ministry to young people. Karen Banks and her team of helpers have done marvels with our children in
Sue Rees and her assistants have worked hard to maintain the hub of St Andrew's; they will be joined by Dominique to further augment the opening and availability of the Parish Office Monday to Friday.
Rebecca Mayhew and Marjorie Cox in their Stewardship capacity together led with a successful campaign raising an additional £36,000 in regular giving.
Many other people have helped and to all I say a very special thank you.
