Half term means the church is quieter than usual with no Pre-School or other activities that have taken a break. We’ve been able to do a bit of maintenance within and without. Within, the so called North Wing is showing its age. Water is finding it easier to come in through the roof but harder to get out through the plumbing. Without, our contract gardeners have been busy getting the grounds ready for Spring.
The diocesan property manager has made a thorough inspection of the vicarage with a view to make substantial improvements to the kitchen and bathrooms. A good home will be an important consideration for the new vicar and family. The PCC meeting on Tuesday next week will begin the process of profiling the parish.
