In the recent session, Be prepared to give an answer we were encouraged to put our personal ‘faith story’ in 100 words to share with someone who wonders why we are a Christian. We both practiced that exercise with others at the beginning of the week and found it surprisingly helpful as we listened to each other. We recommend the other church groups to try it.
Yesterday we arranged to meet with Frances to be better prepared for when she becomes our vicar. She was at the vicarage overseeing the refurbishment and taking the opportunity to do some work in the garden. She and her husband, Jolyon are passionate gardeners and pulled the weeds with great vigour. A particularly stubborn one fought back by suddenly coming up. The resulting fall led to a broken wrist and a fast ride to hospital. Our planned meeting did not turn out as planned.
Life is full of surprises. Pray for Frances that the break will heal well and pray for an opportunity to share your story with someone today. Be prepared for anything to happen!
