‘Two roads diverged in a yellow wood and I,
I took the one less travelled by’ (Robert Frost)
Jolyon Trickey talks about the priorities and choices that shape his life.
Studying law at Cambridge and being called to the bar at 24, Jolyon decided 6 years later to give up his burgeoning career to train for the ordained ministry. This year he made another choice to give up being the vicar of a large, thriving church south of Bristol to follow his wife Frances in her new role as vicar of Oxshott. Making hard choices is part of life for all of us. Jolyon reflects that they often feel messy at the time and are rarely clear cut. Come and hear more of what makes him tick and why, like C S Lewis, he says that the one thing Christianity cannot be is moderately important.
