Music, hymns, songs and anthems

Music, hymns and songs are an important part of worship at St Andrew’s with a wonderful choir, organ and worship band supporting the services.


ChoirWhen: Accompanied by the organ at the Sunday 9.30am service; rehearsals are on Friday evenings at 6.15pm.

What: Singing at traditional services on Sunday mornings as well as special services throughout the year including Christmas and Easter, plus occasionally at weddings.

Who: A friendly group of adult mixed voices, the robed choir is led by Director of Music Val Beynon, accompanied by organists Carina Moffat and Nicky Orlebar. New singers are always welcome; there is no audition.

St Andrew's Worship Band
When: 11.15am Sunday Oxshott Praise services; Saturday rehearsals, 5pm.

What: The St Andrew’s Worship Band plays and sings a wide variety of hymns and songs. New people are very welcome to join, to sing or to play an instrument, or to help with production.
