St Andrew’s Pre-School

St Andrew's Pre-School provides sessional care for 36 children. It operates from the church hall and has access to kitchen, toilets and enclosed outdoor play facilities. Children attend mainly from the local area and it provides a regular feed of children to the outstanding Royal Kent School.

The setting supports children who have special educational needs and children who speak English as an additional language. We have a dedicated staff lead by our manager Emma, and a parents' committee supported by Eraine, the honorary president. See the Pre-School website for full details.

Pre-School opens Monday to Friday during term time only - every morning with some lunch clubs and afternoon sessions also available.

There are 10 part-time staff who work with the children; of these, several have a recognised childcare qualification to level 3, and one is currently working towards one.

Ofsted said: "St Andrew's Pre-School provides good quality care for children. Some staff attend ongoing training to update and improve their knowledge and the space and resources are organised effectively so that children's needs are met.
