Compared to most Anglican churches, St Andrew's is very young! The current building was consecrated on 30 March 1912, and so we are rapidly approaching our centenary.
To celebrate the ambition of our predecessors, we too are ambitious for our next 100 years in Oxshott. The church is here for everyone in the village and we are spending time and energy discussing, agreeing and doing what we can to make that vision a reality. Vision2012 is our project to transform and revitalise the worship, music, buildings and message of St. Andrew’s as we approach this exciting centenary.
So the first steps towards Vision2012 – making St. Andrew’s truly a Church at the heart of this community - have already been taken, and St. Andrew’s is a hive of activity! If there’s something you would like to see the church do in the future, it’s still not too late to have your say, by email or by writing to us at the church.
Finally, if you are interested to see our early thinking, download the full Vision 2012 document here, and download the PCC Vision presentation and draft Vision Map here.
