Weekday Activities

Come and join in a busy weekday programme with something for everyone. All age groups are given a very warm welcome at St Andrew’s, from newborns to teenagers. Josey Wisdom (Youth and Children’s Pastor) and her team of many helpers and leaders ensure a safe, enjoyable and meaningful time for all children and young people, their parents and carers.

Coffee and a chat for families

When: Usually the second Monday of the month, 9 to 11 am.

  • Mon 11 September at 9.30am

  • Mon 13 November at 9.30am

What: Make new friends and have a chat with other parents.

St Andrew’s Pre-School

A well rounded start

When: See for details
What: Sessional care for local children, an Ofsted registered group meeting in the church hall, with use of church facilities and the enclosed garden

Kids Alive 325

The service with a difference

When: Every Wednesday afternoon during term time, starting straight after school - refreshments from 3.15pm with the service from 3.45pm to 4.15pm
Where: At St Andrew's church
What: A 30 minute service run by Youth and Children's Pastor Josey Wisdom with drinks and biscuits on arrival, followed by puppets, lively songs and Bible stories
Who: 4 to 9 years with parents and carers; younger and older children also very welcome

OY! Oxshott Youth Club

Meet up with friends for games, craft and fun

When: Every Friday during term time, between 8pm and 9.30pm
What: A busy, fun youth club with table tennis, table football, badminton, games, cooking and crafts in the church vestibule and hall, and outdoor games when the weather permits. Just turn up on the evening to register
Who: 10 to 14 years (school years 6 to 9)
Cost: 50p a week
Extras: Christmas parties, fund raising for charities Comic Relief and Children in Need plus themed games evenings

Taking the next step

When: The annual course running up to Confirmation is around eight weeks long. Interest should be registered in January, the course begins in March and the Confirmation Service is in May or June, held at different churches

What: Topics for study would normally include

    • 'Who is the Father?'
    • 'Who is the Son?'
    • 'Who is the Holy Spirit?'
    • 'How and why do we read the Bible and pray?'
    • 'The Church'
    • 'What is Holy Communion?'
    • 'What happens at the Confirmation Service?'
