The Same Power

The Same Power
In Ephesians 1:19-20, Paul says…

I pray that you will begin to understand how incredibly great his power is to help those who believe him. It is that same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honour at God’s right hand in heaven” (TLV)

This inspired Nick Herbert to write this great congregational worship song celebrating the risen Christ, and His victory over death.

At We are Worship you can read the lyrics and watch a video of it being sung at Holy Trinity brompton.   There is also a video tutorial showing you how to play it!

You can also listen to the song, read the lyrics, watch a video with Nick Herbert & Ben Cantelon explaining how they came to write it and find links to buy a copy of the song at Worship Together.

You go before me... You're there beside me...

Another new song by Ben Cantelon, which we will be playing in the next few weeks. It talks about all our hopes and fears being in God’s hands. He is indeed our Guardian.

Be Exalted

I stand in awe of who you areIn this song addressed to Jesus we express our heart-felt desire that he should be glorified and exalted in our lives above all else. Written by Ben Cantelon, one of the worship leaders at HTB, it draws together the thoughts from bible passages such as Philippians 1:20, Philippians 2:9 and Hebrews  7:26. As someone has said “It is impossible not to worship Him while singing this song!“.

Christ alone, Cornerstone, weak made strong, in the Saviour's love.

Jesus said to them, ‘Have you never read in the Scriptures:

‘“The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvellous in our eyes”? Matt 21:42

This modern version of an old hymn is a reminder that Jesus is the cornerstone of everything that God is building in His Kingdom. Written by Ruben Morgen and friends at Hillsong, it has quickly become a favourite of congregations across the world.
