Since Old Testament times, when David wrote in Psalm 100:4,
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!”,
God’s people have delighted to worship him in song. Each generation has added to the inspiring collection of words and music that allow Christians to express their wonder at God’s plan of salvation, and deep gratitude for what Jesus has achieved for us by dying on the cross in our place.
At St Andrew’s “Oxshott Praise” services, the best of the old favourites are combined with some of the new songs and hymns composed by well-known worship leaders including Matt Redman, Tim Hughes, Ben Cantelon, Ruben Morgan, Stuart Townend and many more.
You can see what we will be singing on Sunday at Next week’s songs.
