Helping bereaved families
The St Andrew’s bereavement support team, led by Jenny Mathieson and Jill Perrett, provides mutual support and encouragement for bereaved families.
Contact with a bereaved family is initially made by the vicar, and followed up by a visit from one of the pastoral carers, should the family wish it.
A Memorial Service is held each year to provide an opportunity for bereaved families to light a candle for, and remember their loved ones.
Every fourth Thursday of the month in the church vestibule, 10.15 – 11.45am, coffee, cake and fellowship is hosted by the bereavement team. You don’t need an invitation, just come along and you will receive a warm welcome.
